Twenty-eight-year-old Dyana Manaras is now gallbladder stone-free after Kuya Daniel Razon’s Serbisyong Kasangbahay and public service partner, De Los Santos Medical Center, teamed up to give her an all-expense-paid gallbladder removal surgery.

Diagnosed with cholelithiasis (gallbladder stone), Manaras came to UNTV Action Center on July 29, 2016 for help. She was immediately referred to De Los Santos Medical Center and was recommended to undergo a surgery.

On August 1, 2016, Manaras undergone a successful operation led by Dr. Nilo de los Santos. The medical center covered all the expenses as part of its corporate social responsibility.

Manaras was thankful, saying, “Nagpapasalamat ako sa UNTV saka sa Serbisyong Kasangbahay na pinangungunahan ni Kuya Daniel at saka sa De Los Santos Medical Center dahil nakatulong po sila ng malaki sa akin para ma-operahan ako.”

(I thank UNTV and Serbisyong Kasangbahay headed by Kuya Daniel, and also De Los Santos Medical Center because they help me a lot to get an operation.)

A Call For Corporate Social Responsibility

On the July 29 episode of Serbisyong Kasangbahay, program host Kuya Daniel appealed to various companies to use their corporate social responsibility budget in helping those in need.

The UNTV-Breakthrough and Milestones Productions International (BMPI) Chairman and CEO also called on those companies willing to become partners of UNTV News and Rescue’s public service advocacy.

“I’m always looking for partners. Partners natin na hindi basta advertisers lang; ‘yung partners natin na naniniwala sa ating adbokasiya.”

(I’m always looking for partners. Partners who aren’t mere advertisers, but partners who believe in our advocacy.)

As to this call, Kuya Daniel explained that UNTV is only a bridge in helping to connect those who can help and those who need help.

“On our part, we are doing our best, para sa tulong ng Dios ay magawa ho natin ‘yung mga dapat na mai-extend nating tulong sa ating mga kababayan,” the veteran broadcaster added.

(On our part, we are doing our best so that with God’s help, we can do all help we must extend to our fellowmen.)
