UNTV News and Rescue, together with the Members Church of God International (MCGI) and the Department of Health (DoH), mounted a joint blood donation activity in Davao City during the second week of December last year.
The TV station, widely-known as the country’s public service channel, made a name for itself through Kuya Daniel’s advocacies. One of these is the network’s commitment to consistently conduct blood donation drives for those who are in dire need of blood for transfusion.
Thankful for the Blood Drive Ties
The DOH Davao Blood Center was thankful for the said activity, which was already the fourth time in the city.
“We thank UNTV and MCGI for their support for the blood program in the region and even in other countries,” Eric Jimenez, a staff of DOH Davao Blood Center, expressed.
A donor, Sherwin Corpuz, said in the vernacular, “This is my first time to donate blood through MCGI and UNTV, which is an advocacy always taught by Bro. Eli and Kuya Daniel that doing good will not result to any evil.”
“This is my first experience here in the Philippines and to donate blood for a cause. This is nice!,” shared Valdevino Marcos de Souza, a Brazilian national.
Medical and Dental Outreach for Dabawenyos
Meanwhile, UNTV and MCGI conducted a medical and dental mission in Davao City on the same day. More than 100 residents of the city were given services which is in line with UNTV’s advocacy of providing genuine public service.
These activities were still part of the 36th anniversary celebration of the Ang Dating Daan.
Hosted by international evangelist Bro. Eli Soriano, Ang Dating Daan is the flagship program of the Members Church of God International that airs on UNTV.
The longest-running religious radio-television program in the country has an outstanding reputation for its philanthropic causes and a partner for change by the government.
Kuya Daniel is BMPI-UNTV News and rescue’s Chairman and CEO.
