Kuya Daniel gave instructions during the July 22 episode of “Serbisyong Kasangbahay” to let 18-year-old Jon Paul Macalindong take the college entrance examination for the second semester of La Verdad Christian College Caloocan.
The operations of the two branches of La Verdad Christian College in Caloocan, Metro Manila and Apalit, Pampanga, are funded by the veteran journalist himself, together with Bro. Eli Soriano of the Members of Church of God International (MCGI), most commonly known as “Ang Dating Daan.”
La Verdad Christian College, which received several academic and sports-related recognitions for its high standards, gives deserving students from elementary to tertiary levels privileges like zero tuition and miscellaneous fees, free meals and school uniform, plus monetary allowance.
“You will be supported with everything you need for free, just study hard. You will also have free meal,” Kuya Daniel told Macalindog, whose parents can no longer support his studies, when he missed the deadline of registration to enroll in the first semester.
Tykes Villagomez, registrar at La Verdad Christian College Caloocan, suggested to Macalindog that “he just needs to take the entrance examination in October so that he can be accommodated in the second semester,
“Serbisyong Kasangbahay,” which aired its pilot episode last July 18, has its telecast from 4:30-5:30 pm, Mondays to Fridays, via UNTV News and Rescue Channel.
