Rescue and Emergency Assistance Added as Part of UNTV’s 2012 Year-End Coverage

From the eve of December 31 to the break of dawn of January 1, 2013, the Philippines’ Public Service Channel will not only present its year-end coverage of the revelry. Like last year, UNTV will mobilize its rescue units to provide emergency-response operations and services centralized through its News-and-Rescue Command Center.

News-and-Rescue Command Center

The Command Center conceptualized by Kuya Daniel Razon and the America’s Rescue 911 share the same approach of proving quick response to emergency cases but the former offers its assistance for free. The facility was launched two years ago, also on the eve of December 31, 2010.

As the revelry observed by many people during the welcoming of a new year is usually marked by firecracker-related accidents and the likes, UNTV is already anticipating that its command center will receive request for assistance and help. The night before Januay 1 of the following year until early morning of the same day will be the covered period of the command center’s public service.

To provide medical health assistance and aid UNTV’s rescue missions are several Clinic ni Kuya Daniel branches all over the country, whose main offices are situated in Quezon City. Satellite branches of the same health clinic in the country’s major provinces will also be opened to render first aid and emergency assistance.

These health centers are equipped with medical and emergency equipments needed to cater to people in need of medical attention. Apart from these stationary clinics, roaming health hubs will also be deployed to give professional medical care to those in the remote areas.

Through the years, it has been a commitment by Kuya Daniel through UNTV to contribute in lowering the number of New Year-related injuries. As of latest figures from the government, the Department of Health-issued reports showed that recorded incidents have declined from 546 last 2011 to 476 last 2012.
