Inspiring! PNP and NPC Laud Kuya Daniel’s Medical, Dental and Legal Outreach Concept

The National Press Club (NPC) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) expressed their appreciation of the public service efforts rendered by UNTV News and Rescue last February 4 this year for the media people, policemen, and their relatives, respectively.
UNTV News and Rescue’s regular medical, dental and legal outreaches are part of BMPI-UNTV Chairman and CEO Daniel Razon’s commitment to help fellow Filipinos, regardless of their status in society, religious affiliations and gender.
QCPD Director Police Superintendent Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar expressed his appreciation for this public service action of UNTV, NPC, and the QCPD Press Corps.
“On behalf of the QCPD, I am very thankful for this program. The medical and optical mission of the UNTV. Well, Bro. Daniel Razon and Bro. Eli Soriano are there, together with their volunteers. The National Press Club is here, along with the QCPD press corps,” Eleazar said.
He remarked further that this the charitable program offers a positive role model in their organization, adding that other organizations need to learn from this public service on extending help to fellow Filipinos.
“Other organizations must make this [UNTV public services] as their model. Those who can extend to Filipino,” the QCPD director noted.
Benefitting Press People, Policeman and Relatives
More than 300 NPC members, PNP personnel and their relatives benefitted from UNTV’s free medical services held recently at the Quezon City Police District Station 10.
Observers noted that this medical mission is special as it also benefitted nearby residents of the QCPD Station 10 in Edsa Kamuning, Quezon City.
Services rendered range from medical consultation, avail of free medicines, tooth extraction, x-ray and other laboratory tests through the Ang Dating Daan mobile clinic facility.
Nearly 50 people received free eye health examination and eyeglasses from their volunteer eye-care professionals.
The television channel partnered with the National Press Club, QCPD Press Corps and Quezon City Police District, In association with regular charity partner, Members Church of God International (MCGI).
A Continuing Commitment
Meanwhile, NPC President Paul Gutierrez said that UNTV’s medical outreaches for the members of the media and press is regular endeavour provided by UNTV as part of Kuya Daniel’s commitment to the press group.
Gutierrez recounted that in his recent talk with Kuya Daniel, the veteran broadcast journalist committed to help more of the NPC’s members as this is a good opportunity to do good for fellow journalists and media people.
“This has been held before in the NPC. But because the NPC and Kuya Daniel wanted to help more members, we had talks last month to bring the program to the press corps so that more may benefit,” said Gutierrez.
He added that through this effort, he learned of some colleagues who have health problems that were previously undetected.
