“Your visit here to conduct medical mission is a blessing to us.”
This is how Chairman Melencio P. Catu of Brgy. Sampaloc in Apalit, Pampanga expressed his gratitude to UNTV President and CEO Kuya Daniel Razon and Bro. Eli Soriano of Members Church of God International (MCGI) for the medical outreach mounted in the said barangay on June 17.
Over 300 residents received free medical, pediatric, optical, and dental consultations, as well as free medicine supplies, in the event organized by UNTV and MCGI.
Apart from medical services, free legal aid was also provided by volunteer practitioners to the residents of the barangay.
“For me, as the barangay captain, you are a great help to the residents here. Thank you very much, Kuya (Daniel) and Bro. Eli,” said Catu.
2nd Outreach Within Two Months
This medical mission is the second outreach program mounted by UNTV and MCGI in the said area.
Last May this year, the two partnering organizations — aside from providing free medical services — also donated an emergency vehicle and a tricycle patrol to the barangay.
Residents from Brgy. Sampaloc thanked UNTV and MCGI for their persistent charitable efforts.
“I am glad because we received free medicines. It’s nice, it’s a big help to us,” said Amelita Temporada whose all four children received free pediatric services.
Another resident, Ernest Arceo, also extended his gratitude: “Imagine, we need not buy medicine. It’s a great help for us. I hope you can reach more people through your medical mission.”
Free medical mission is just one of the many charitable works regularly conducted by UNTV and MCGI. Others include Mass Blood Donation, Libreng Sakay (Free Transportation), and Free Livelihood Program (through Munting Pangarap).
