For supporting and promoting the noble works of the national police force, the Philippine National Police (PNP) has acknowledged the contribution of Your Public Service Channel UNTV and Kuya Daniel Razon.
PNP has an ongoing television program, Pulis @ Ur Serbis, which recently celebrated its second year of broadcasting at UNTV.
The series of robbery-at-gunpoint incidents in Metro Manila involving several policemen recently had occupied the headlines of different media outlets. Some wrongful acts of a handful law enforcers pose challenge to the entire police force image as promoter of law and order.
To help dispel misconceptions about the police force, veteran broadcaster Daniel Razon offered PNP a time slot at UNTV to air their own public affairs program, Pulis @ Ur Serbis.
The program features stories of heroism and good works of the police men and women and has been helping build confidence and trust to the PNP.
Program hosts Police Chief Supt. Nestor Quinsay, Jr. and Louella de Cordova handed the award to Kuya Daniel on the show’s special broadcast aired recently.
The PNP also gave the same recognition to UNTV during the constabulary’s 113th anniversary celebration held at the PNP Multi-Purpose Hall in Camp Crame, Quezon City.
“I am thankful and hoping that your show will continue airing on UNTV. Just one thing, keep it up and let’s remain standing in truth, fight for what is right and let’s walk on the path of an honest cop,” Kuya Daniel bid to the national police.
The seasoned broadcaster discussed with the hosts how he wants the partnership between PNP and UNTV could expand to better serve the public. PNP is one of UNTV’s key partners for its medical missions.
PNP Chief Police Director Alan La Madrid Purisima commended the good relationship of PNP and UNTV through Pulis @ Ur Serbis.
“Pulis @ Ur Serbis”
Part of its mission as public service channel is to provide opportunities to government agencies to report to the public their accomplishments through their own TV program at UNTV.
Besides featuring stories of outstanding police officers, the show also addresses complaints of people and enlightens viewers of the PNP procedures in responding to issues brought to their desk.
The program airs on UNTV every Saturday from 7:00 to 8:00 in the evening.
