Broadcast Innovations and Public Services

Kuya Daniel’s broadcast innovations through UNTV have set examples of genuine public service in Philippine media, inspiring other giant media networks to follow suit.

One most noted is Tulong Muna Bago Balita, a news-and-rescue advocacy launched in 2010 that prioritize saving lives of victims before news reporting. The advocacy led other TV stations to also build their own news-and-rescue teams but it is UNTV that sustains this service daily.

He also also revolutionized radio by creating the mobile booth for public service and brought local artist to the world through the Wish Bus.

He brilliantly made the sports league a medium of public service through the UNTV Cup, where participating teams extend their cash winnings to charity foundations of their choice.

UNTV also gives free medical and legal assistance to thousands indigents on a daily basis, and regular medical missions to different cities in the country.

Kuya Daniel also pioneered Dunong Gulong, Manibela Academy, and transient homes in the Philippines, among others.
