Dear Kuya, translated “Dear Big Brother” in English, airs from Monday to Friday, at 10 am to 12 noon (Philippine time). Titled after the host’s moniker “Kuya Daniel,” the AM band program shares letter-sender stories and valuable insights in each of its heart-filled episode. Kuya Daniel is known in the country for his big brother-like qualities in helping many indigents through his public service projects at UNTV.

While other AM stations talk about hard socio-political and economic matters during the same time slot, Dear Kuya is a refresher with its combination of true-to-life stories, biblical advice, and witty discussions of current events.

Kuya Daniel’s humor and intelligent thoughts take pressing issues on a lighter side while educating listeners at the same time.

Dear Kuya The Drama

“Dear Kuya: The Drama” is the most awaited segment in the final hour of the show. Letter-senders’ stories, ranging from woes of love, family to hardships in life, are read by Kuya Daniel and reenacted for the radio by La Verdad Christian College students. The advice part comes from the show’s resource person, Bro. Eli Soriano of Ang Dating Daan, bringing Bible-based answers to life woes.

Another takeout for the letter senders is the Php 10,000 cash prize given for the best story of the month.

To this date, Dear Kuya remains the only radio show in the Philippines combining live drama with a magazine program format in the AM band.
