Daniel Razon was re-elected as Chairman for Public Image/TV for 2013-2014, a post he held in the previous rotary year with the Rotary International District 3780.
The re-election officially extends Kuya Daniel’s term and a direct expression of trust bestowed to him by his fellow Rotarians who find the veteran broadcast journalist best suited to handle the public image concerns of their association.
The poll was held this month during the 34th Kamuning, one of at least 97 clubs of RI District 3780.
Even before holding any position in the club, his fellow Rotarians have seen Kuya Daniel actively advocating for the good image of the group. The rotary especially underscored his idea of the television program, Rotary in Action, which has been airing for years now at UNTV every Wednesday night at 7:00.
Both international and local chapters of the Rotary saw the valuable role of the television program in keeping the good image of the organization.
Rotary in Action was honored in 2011 by the Rotary Institute of Asia Pacific Region in Bali, Indonesia with Public Image Coordinators PR Award.
“Thank you UNTV, thank you Rotary in Action, thank you Kuya Daniel for this amazing idea of coming up with a program that will allow Rotarians to come over and help us spread the good news of Rotary,” expressed Lyne Alano Abanilla, RI Public Image Coordinator in South Pacific, during an interview with UNTV.
Not only Rotary in Action but Kuya Daniel himself is an award-winning Rotarian for his other significant contributions to the club and to the Philippine society. Among his recognitions from the club include the Vocational Service Awardee (2011) and the Rock Award (2012).
“With or without recognition, the club can always expect that we’ll continue what we have started with God’s help,” the multi-awarded broadcast journalist said.
