It’s official – Kuya Daniel Razon and his hit morning show Good Morning, Kuya! receive much-deserved nomination slots in the prestigious 23rd Star Awards for Television.

Kuya Daniel is out to prove that God-given talents, hard work, and creativity make him a deserving nominee for the Best Morning Show Host category. Good Morning, Kuya! is also shortlisted as Best Morning Show by the Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC).

Good Morning, Kuya! is the brainchild of renowned broadcaster and Mr. Public Service Kuya Daniel Razon.

For its hundreds and thousands of patrons, Good Morning, Kuya! is more than just a morning show – it’s a celebration of philanthropy.

Everyday, free medical, dental, optical, and even legal help are rendered to the public via this one-of-a-kind morning program.

Kuya Daniel is not only a man with a big heart but also a man with revolutionary public service ideas that eventually earned him the moniker, Mr. Public Service.

Hence, UNTV has become the world’s first TV station to operate free bus ride services, Metro Rail Transit rides for senior citizens, and even jeepney rides for the people.

Good Morning, Kuya! is also popular for its Pondahan segment where a cast of insightful, smart and highly-opinionated characters, who are mostly veteran radio and television commentarists, share their views on current affairs, politics, and just about anything interesting.

Joining Kuya Daniel Razon in the Best Morning Show Host category is the Pondahan crew consisting of Rene Jose, Allan Encarnacion, Aida Gonzales, Ryan Ramos, and Tony Arevalo.

Kuya Daniel’s lovely wife Arlene Razon together with Kitt Meily and Rodel Flordeliz, hosts of Bread N’ Butter, also bagged two nominations for Best Travel Show and Best Talent Show Hosts.

Multi-awarded host Ben Tulfo’s Bitag Live makes waves with two nominations for the Best Public Service Program and Best Public Service Program Host. Dubbed as Mr. Exposé, Ben Tulfo divulges felonious methods to aide the transgressed and the aggrieved in his action-packed show Bitag Live.

UNTV earned nomination for Best Station for 2009.
