ASOP Music Festival, Conceptualized by Kuya Daniel for UNTV, Reaches Year 5 Grand Finals

Originally conceptualized by Kuya Daniel Razon as a television-based songwriting competition, the five-year-old A Song of Praise (ASOP) Music Festival will hold this edition’s Grand Finals on November 7 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City.

Kuya Daniel, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Breakthrough and Milestones Productions International (BMPI)-UNTV, together with Bro. Eliseo Soriano, Overall Servant to the Members Church of God International (MCGI), are key sponsors of the praise music festival.

Twelve grand finalists will vie for the titles of “Song of the Year” with a Php500,000 cash prize, “People’s Choice,” and “Best Interpreter” with a Php50,000 cash prize. Consolation prizes are at Php20,000 for each non-winning entry.

For half a decade now, the ASOP Music Festival has been in search for original compositions proclaiming the greatness of the Lord Almighty. “Kung Pag-ibig Mo’y Ulan” and “Purihin Mo Ang Dios Oh Pilipinas” are just some of the songs that received the top awards from the previous years.
