Over 200 in Tanay Municipal Jail Receive Free Dental-Medical Services from UNTV & MCGI

UNTV MCGI Medical Mission in Tanay Municipal Jail

More than 200 inmates in the Tanay Municipal Jail benefitted from UNTV and Members Church of God International’s (MCGI) dental and medical mission.

Mr. Emmanuel Manawag, a jail warden at the Tanay Municipal Jail, expressed his gratitude to UNTV and MCGI for the free public services.

Bro. Eli, thank you for caring for us here in the jail, in Tanay Municipal Jail,” said Mr. Manawag. Today, UNTV and MCGI volunteers have visited us here for the inmates to have a check-up. You have doctors, dentists, [and] I hope you will come back.

The inmates could not be grateful enough for the free checkup, knowing the process of consulting a doctor is not simple especially for the sick inmates.

The inmates or so-called Persons of Deprived Liberty (PDL) usually complain of respiratory problems and skin diseases caused by the hot weather.

They usually go out from jail one-by-one just to be brought to a clinic or a hospital and the process to get a court order also takes time.

“Don,” one of the PDLs said: “Because most of the inmates here eventually get forgotten by their loved ones. And we hope for medical missions like this to address their needs.
