....Away from the
limelight and boardroom conference calls, Daniel Razon is a sportsman at heart.
Basketball, volleyball, swimming, target shooting, tennis, boxing and weight
lifting are just a few of his sports and athletic interests. Not just a sports
enthusiast, he, himself, plays the games and sports.
...How he is able to sneak
into the world of sports despite his countless responsibilities and tight
schedule remains a big question among his colleagues and the people who know
him. The sportsman in DSR is manifested in his outward solid, athletic
physique. Inward, he exemplifies a real sportsman-someone who is focused,
determined, courageous, esteemed, and disciplined.
..Basketball, among his
favorite games, received sweet but short pampering from DSR recently. Because
instead of making the sports event as a means for him to snatch a small period
of time to enjoy and relax even for a while, the opening of the tournament
became his first and last visit to the basketball court. His basketball cup, as
always, was not organized for himself alone. The needy and poor people he
served, especially the orphanage and the dialysis program he spearheaded, are
the beneficiaries of the sports cup he had established.
..Even in sports, DSR shares
his heart to the needy and impoverished. Like "The Man of Steel" whose heart
easily melts when he hears a call for help from people, the very energetic and
athletic DSR gets into sports sometimes to have a breather, but most of the
time to enjoy and have pleasure in serving people and rescue them.
