....Bro. Daniel S.
Razon, the Vice-Presiding Minister of the Members, Church of God International,
was and is under the tutelage of Bro. Eli F. Soriano, the Church’s Presiding
Minister. It’s not surprising therefore that he had acquired what Bro. Eli has
shown all over the years: concern for the welfare of others.
...In the Church, Bro. Daniel
has conceptualized various projects such as the Feeding Care Program for
malnourished children; Free Dialysis Program for the destitute; Orphanage for
the homeless; and, a special program for physically-challenged handicapped
individuals. Although all of these aim at taking care of brethren in the
Church, some non-members are already beneficiaries as love and compassion
should not only be accorded to the brethren. Bro. Daniel believes that sharing
a hand as an act of service should be extended also outside the Church,
especially to the less-fortunate, the poor whose hope to eat three meals a day
hangs on a thread.
..If Bro. Daniel attends to
the needs of the members of the Church, the non-members are never forgotten. He
has been stretching his hands out to others, in fact. Unknown to those who have
known him as a media practitioner, Daniel Razon’s life is also all about having
a soft heart for the lowly ones.
..Being a co-founder of the
Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel Foundation
..With the end of promoting
goodwill to fellowmen, one foundation was broached and established.
..Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel
Foundation (END Foundation) is a non-profit organization that helps provide
food, clothing and medical assistance to less-fortunate and
financially-challenged Filipinos. It’s mission is to change lives by organizing
and facilitating feeding centers and extending community services to the
impoverished and depressed communities in the country.
..In its launching on July 4,
2005, the Foundation staged a “Lingap sa Kapwa Project”which aimed at feeding
about 1,000 Filipino schoolchildren of the Payatas Elementary School. With the
vicissitudes of life dictating the continuous wallowing into poverty among
citizens, the Feeding Program also extended to the Baseco area, in the capital
Manila, and has also reached as far as Cotabato, in Mindanao, Philippines, to
give meals to children.
..This makes Bro. Eli and Bro.
Daniel Foundation distinct from others: it gives a series of services in one
place until such a time that the children have become normal in weight. This is
not only done once in a particular venue. It is repeated until its aim is fully
realized. Such is the Foundation co-piloted by Daniel Razon: resolute and
determined.
..Daniel is a public servant
nonpareil. Clothed with wisdom, undoubtedly his stupendous ideas have rung a
clarion call for others to follow in giving assistance to the impoverished. One
significant thing is that he gets to the action himself. He does not only lay
the master plan; he also helps in executing it. He does not only show the
course to take; he takes the course himself. A co-founder to the Foundation,
Bro. Daniel can often be seen in the midst of the people, attending to those
who need help, showing his concern with the children who need care, and
listening to their stories. With all of his heart, he has shown love and
compassion.
..One needs no legerdemain to
fulfill such concern towards fellowmen. One just needs a big heart like that of
Daniel S. Razon, the co-Founder of the Bro. Eli and Bro. Daniel Foundation.
..He may not have shaken more
hands but he has touched more vibrant nerves and hearts. He may not have
delivered more speeches but has initiated more genuine actions.
